A documentary about conflict minerals in the Congo hosted by LC for Conflict Free Minerals. Before the film, Elizabeth Bennett will say a few words about the responsibilities of consumers and the potential impacts of consumer advocacy. After the film, the new student group LC for Conflict Free Minerals will discuss their campus advocacy activities and how students might consider becoming involved.
The screening will be held in the Council Chambers in Templeton.
L&C for Conflict Free Minerals Committee (LC4CFM) promotes the awareness of conflict minerals in our electronics and aims to make an impact on the conflict mineral trade by pressuring our technology companies to track their supply chains and not import metals from conflict or slave mines in the Eastern Congo.
